I love wide, spacious, and modern house interiors. It is relaxing, airy, comfy, and does not give you a suffocating feeling. Curtains are no exceptions. I am not a fan of thick, brocade curtains. Even though it is beautiful and elegant, it is stuffy and seems to make the house too warm. Coming from a tropical country, continuous air flow inside the house is important. Otherwise, it would be too hot. That is why I go for flowing and thin curtains made from light fabrics.
This light curtains need not to be plain and boring. In fact, they can be just as attractive as brocade or other thick curtains. A lot of curtain ideas can make your home a little bit more cheerful and sunny; it’s just a matter of choosing the right color and fabric combination.
Choose a curtain color that would complement the color scheme of your house. You can opt to combine two fabrics in one panel. For example you can put together a plain lace curtain with an embroidered one. You can add tassels or valances to give your room a more elegant look. Play around with different colors and fabrics to give your home an edgy, sophisticated look.
