We have assorted round cake pans in our house because my mother loves to bake. She loves making pastries, cupcakes, and different kinds of cakes. These round pans are very useful because it is not only used in baking cakes but also for making other desserts. I remember the time when my mom made two cakes just for fun – an angel’s food cake and a devil’s food cake.
The angel’s food cake is light, soft, and has a spongy texture and has a white, light icing. The devil’s food cake, on the other hand, is a dark, rich chocolate cake with chocolate filling, and heavy icing. The angel cake is baked using a deep pan with a hole in the middle, while the devil cake is made using a round pan. The two cakes are the exact opposites. The angel cake symbolizes simplicity and all the good stuff, while the devil cake symbolizes temptation – who can resist such a luscious and rich cake?!
Helping my mom bake the cake was a fun and great experience. We had a bonding moment while working in the kitchen. The best thing was that we enjoyed eating the cakes with the entire family.
